THE AUTHOR
Ronny Trocker was born in Bolzano (South Tyrol Region) and grew up in a small village in the Dolomites mountains. In 2003 he moved to Argentina to study film directing at the Universidad del Cine in Buenos Aires. Returning to Europe four years later, he was admitted to the prestigious French art school Le Fresnoy. He currently lives and works in Brussels.
His works include documentary, fiction and experimental films, as well as video installations, which have been presented at various international festivals around the world. His first feature film The Eremites was presented at the Venice Film Festival in the Orizzonti competition in September and was nominated for the Prix Fipresci /Discovery Award of the European Film Awards in 2017. His second feature film Human Factors was premiered in 2021 at the Sundance Film Festival and at the Berlinale, before being released internationally in theaters.
