A small part of the Amazon forest, a paradise preserved from speculation and deforestation. The native communities of Caboclos, thanks to an Italian NGO, has found a way to live in balance with nature and with the West culture pressing at its borders. Xixuau Xiparigna, a reserve in the heart of the Amazon is now about to disappear swallowed by economic problems. Maybe there is only one way to survive, try to organize an epochal concert: the Pink Floyd in Xixuau. Because nothing is impossible for Chris, the founder of the NGO and his family divided between Italy and Brazil. Or at least, that’s the plan to defend his ‘outpost’. A Fitzcarraldo of modern times, a documentary about an impossible dream.

L’AUTORE

Edoardo Morabito (Catania, 1979) ha frequentato il Corso di Montaggio presso il Centro Sperimentale di Roma. Ha montato tra gli altri il documentario “Io sono Tony Scott” di Franco Maresco, presentato al Festival Internazionale del Film di Locarno nel 2010, candidato ai Nastri d’Argento nel 2011 e premiato dalla giuria al Festival di Tremblay in France; il documentario “Andata e Ritorno” di Donatella Finocchiaro, selezionato alla Mostra del Cinema di Venezia. Nel 2010 riceve una menzione speciale al Premio Solinas sezione Documentari con il film “I fantasmi di San Berillo”, che dirige nel 2013 con l’aiuto della Sicilia Film Commission, e con il quale vince il premio come Miglior Documentario al Torino Film Festival.
